À l’occasion des 15 ans du Grey Lynn Farmers Market, l’équipe du marché m’a confié la création d’une carte illustrée.
L’objectif était d’aider les visiteurs à mieux se repérer, à identifier les différents types de produits et à encourager la circulation et la découverte de l’ensemble du marché.
La carte a été pensée comme une interprétation illustrée, ludique et chaleureuse de l’espace, inspirée de l’ambiance d’une place de village familiale, conviviale et ancrée dans la vie locale, tout en restant lisible et suffisamment générique pour évoluer dans le temps.
Plutôt qu’un plan technique, l’illustration propose un outil d’orientation intuitif et durable, en cohérence avec les valeurs du marché : proximité, durabilité, éthique et lien direct entre producteurs et visiteurs.
La carte est utilisée sur différents supports imprimés et numériques afin d’améliorer l’expérience des visiteurs et de renforcer l’identité du marché.

To mark the 15th anniversary of Grey Lynn Farmers Market, the team commissioned an illustrated map of the market.
The purpose was to help visitors better understand where to find products, improve circulation, and encourage exploration across the whole site.
The map was designed as a playful and welcoming interpretation of the market layout, inspired by the atmosphere of a village square warm, family-friendly and community-focused, while remaining easy to read and adaptable over time as stallholders change.
Rather than a technical plan, the illustration provides an intuitive and timeless wayfinding tool, aligned with the market’s values of sustainability, ethical production and direct relationships between producers and customers.
The map is used across multiple print and digital formats to enhance the visitor experience and reinforce the identity of the market.
